Today’s youth has serious anger management issues.  Director Brett Strauss will attend.

The Backroad – (Student, Canada, 8 mins) *****

Director Phil Marinuci will be on hand to discuss his scary zombie short.

Rage (85 mins) *****

Christopher Witherspoon expertly directed this taut thriller in the vein of Steven Spielberg’s Duel, about a psychotic motorcyclist stalking an automobile driver.

Something After Midnight (WNY short, 23 mins) *****

Sam Qualiana, winner of last year’s “Filmmaker to Watch” award, returns to Buffalo Screams with this tale about a tormented horror screenwriter.

Absentia (91 mins) *****

Katie Parker stars in this scary, mysterious, and thought provoking film that should not be missed!  Mark it down as one of “the best of the fest.”

Actress and special guest Melantha Blackthorne directed this outrageous tale.  Strong sexual situations.

The Burning (Showcase, 91 mins)

Special 30thAnniversary screening of the first horror film made in Buffalo! (Well, North Tonawanda…).  Jason Alexander and Holly Hunter co-star in this 1981 slasher classic!

Tony Mauro Tribute (approximately 4:30 – 5:00) One of the top designers of Hollywood movie posters lives in our neck of the woods.  Tony discusses his career and demonstrates how movie posters are created, from concept to finished design.

A Change of Plans (WNY, 6 mins) Thriller directed by our special guest, special make-up effects wizard Rod Durick of Zombified Studios.

The One That Got Away (12 mins)
